Pat is a product and service owned and operated by Ernwell, Inc. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Ernwell, Inc.; Pat refers to its product and service.

We collect information to provide Pat's point-of-sale and payment link services. This includes merchant account, contact, and business data; private inventory and product images; and customer receipt contact and order data.

Our payment provider may collect identity and business verification information to activate payments and payouts. Pat receives only the account and readiness details needed to operate the service.

With your permission, our point-of-sale systems may use precise location and Bluetooth to discover and operate compatible payment readers and Tap to Pay on iPhone. Pat may access the camera or photos you choose for identity, product, or receipt features.

Pat does not store or process raw payment card numbers. Our payment provider processes payments while Pat provides the point-of-sale and checkout interfaces.

We use your information for authentication, to operate our point-of-sale systems, deliver customer receipts, process payment links, secure your account, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

Pat does not sell your personal information or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising or tracking.

We share limited information with service providers to operate Pat. These include our payment provider for payment processing, connected-account services, identity verification, fraud prevention, and payouts; Apple for supported device, sign-in, and Tap to Pay services; Google for sign-in and optional connected services; Sendblue for receipt and message delivery; and Replit for application hosting, databases, and file storage.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We disclose only the information reasonably needed for the relevant service.

We may also share information with professional advisers, authorities when legally required, or successors involved in a business transfer.

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance. Customer receipt payloads are retained for up to 30 days where implemented.

We use administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, though no system is entirely secure.

Pat's services are operated in the United States by Ernwell, Inc. By using Pat, you understand your information will be processed and stored in the US.

Pat is not intended for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to receive a portable copy, restrict or object to certain processing, or appeal a denied request. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Pat does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may update this notice as our services evolve. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date.
